I have a question regarding attachment to worldly objects. I for one love cars. But, I do not let them control my life ie: I don't compromise on things that I need to get the things I want. However, this is the tricky part... The love for restoring old cars and rebuilding them runs through my veins my dad was a mechanic my grandfather, and my great grandfather... If I am in a position to buy like an old car for the purpose of restoring it from the ground up, and then keeping it, is that so wrong?

Kevin, provided you aren't spending money that you have a moral obligation to spend on elsewhere (for instance if you are supporting dependents and you won't be able to buy them the things they require such as enough proper food, clothing adequate education etc etc) it is simply investing in a hobby. There is nothing wrong with it.

But it is also important to remember to be fair as well. If you have a wife and are her means of support it would not be right to spend everything on yourself and your own interests while never spending anything on her interests. Common sense and justice go a long way in these cases.

Your interests probably cost less $$$ anyway :)

And if you ever restore a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air and don't give it to me there's definitely gotta be something sinful going on there.

(I'll have the 4-door hard top but only if a two door soft top is an absolute impossibility).

On a serious note, Matthew's reply pretty much nails it.

Charlie is a clown Melanie.

His red nose often goes missing, but have no doubts, he is only joking.
